Tier 2(General) Whether to Include a Lost Passport Number?

Post by Mark61 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 10:00 pm

Hello,

I made my online app 6-Mar-13. I reported on the online form that I had a lost passport and I did not know the number - that was the case at the time. While getting my docs together for submission I discovered a photocopy of the lost passport. So, I could report the lost passport number. Should I? There are two possibilities that I can see:

1. The online app is considered inaccurate if I send them information with my supporting documents that could be included in the official application. In this case, they might require me to go online and amend the application. I do NOT wish to do this because time is very important now for two different reasons that are unrelated to this post.

2. I include the lost passport number in a letter in my supporting documents. In this case, the visa-deciding officer might consider it a gesture of good faith that I was trying to provide all the information that I could.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark
