Fees from April- Approval from Parliament Not Passed?

I check the UKBA updates and do not find anything regarding the new proposed fee increase, on 6th April 2013, has been passed by the Parliament except some other minor changes in Tier 1 (E) as well as Tier 4. These changes were approved on the 14th March in the Parliament session but nothing was passed regarding fee increase and it was said that new fee would be subjected by the approval from parliament. We are about 10 friends on T1 (G) who have sent letters to our respective MPs complaining against the increase in fees as well.

Can anyone update on this forum or shed a more light on it as it would be very beneficial for all of us as many of us may send cases after 6th April without the hell increased fees.

I think its passed as fees page on UKBA website has new fees document on right hand side panel and there is nothing mentioning that it needs approval.

So I believe its approved already

I was also wondering if fees are approved. We have not heard confirmation. I agree - fee increase is too high - for my family of 4 it will cost us an extra £1,000 after 6 April (we do have to apply via PEO).

Unfortunately we don't have a choice or voice, we just have to pay if we want to stay. (sorry, didn't mean for that to rhyme) lol

For applications made in person (e.g. at a public enquiry office) the total fee is the relevant standard fee plus £375 per person (this includes the £100 appointment fee, which may be retained should the applicant fail to attend their appointment without good reason).
