urgent query

My Tier 1 visa expiry date was 24th March 2013, so I sent my Tier 1 visa application by post on 1st of March 2013, that is within 28 days of visa expiry date.

I have now received my biometric residence card with details as follows

Valid until
13/03/2016

Date of issue
15/03/2013

So UKBA not issued me the visa from 24th of March 2013, and because of that I will be almost 11 days short of my five years.

Do I have to apply for one more extension before my ILR?

Nope... you can apply for ILR 28 days before of your 5 year stay.
Curious to know how you managed to get visa approved in 2 weeks through postal application when UKBA officially lagging 3months+ ?

Thanks for replying.

I am really surprised my self as it took only three weeks as i sent on 1st of march and received it today. May be its depend on the case worker.

most applications which were sent by post in Jan/Feb/March have got approval within 2-4 weeks. Unfortunately there are a few people who appl,ied in Nov who haven't recieved yet. So this myth that applications are served in a firtcome-first serve basis has been busted.
