Tier 2 -> visitor visa

Hi guys

i have an urgent query for a Lebanese colleague. She is on Tier 2 (postgraduate researcher) and is awaiting some job offers, which unfortunately, take longer than anticipated. she does not want to go back home but would rather bridge here in country with the visitor visa. hence, she has two questions -

1. can she switch from tier 2 to visitor arguing that "she needs some time to prepare before leaving the country"

2. can she then switch back into tier 2 incountry (however, this is not critical and she would be willing to travel back).

3. will her 2 years be nullified (for naturalisation purposes) if she switches into visitor and then subsequently back into tier 2.

Thank you, questions 1 and 3 are the most critical to her at the moment.

2.) Moot. A cooling off period of 12 months would apply if her Tier 2 is to expire and she returns to her home country. This is intended to reset the clock.
