Tier 2 Extension question

Hi,

My Tier 2 visa expired date is on 1st August 2013 and I want to extend my new Tier 2 visa ASAP. Do you know the earliest date that I can start sending my application?

I can ask my employer to create new Certificate of Sponsorship anytime.

If you give a early start date u can apply early.

Ex: my visa expires on July 13 so I ve asked my employer to give me a cos with that and I got it but I can't apply till 30th march as the rules say u cannot apply 3 months before the start date .

The certificate of sponsorship must be used for leave to enter or remain in the UK within 3 months of being assigned. An application for a restricted certificate cannot be made more than 3 months before the employment start date.

My current tier 2 visa is due to expire on 15 July 13, if I want to apply before 06 April 2013, what period does my employer need to enter in COS.

3 months before expiry date so it should be 15 April

It means it should come under new rules, if the start date is after 05 Apr 2013,please correct me if I'm wrong.
