ILR verification

Hi ,

I had an appointment for my ILR today and i paid extra so i could get my indefinite visa on the same day i went to the embassy in croydon...basically they checked all my documents and said that my application is valid however they told me that they will kept my ESOL certificate to verify the college i asked them how long it will take and the woman said shes not sure they will post my document in the post and she also mentioned shes giving my wifes and daughters passport back, however when i left i realised my other documents were also missing such as my tenancy agreement my daughters birth certificate, water bill, mine and my wifes joint account,my wifes bank statement, and my phone bills and contract and also my marriage certificate , my NI number practical driving license,wifes NHS discharge letter (sorry fr the long list lol) anyway i wanted to know why she has kept all of these and not even mentioned it except for the college certificate which she did mention and how long will it take for them to verifythe documents i mean surely it should be a few days as i did pay quite alot.please reply
