mn1 application

Post by fatherAbraham » Thu Mar 21, 2013 11:57 pm

Hi all,
I just got my ILR and wish to apply for my child. I just want to find out if my passport and biometric card is needed to be sent along with the application as I can't find such mention of it on the ukba site. Just want to be sure of the proper thing to do.
Thanking you all for your kind assistance.

Hi shahid2000,
The section for children does not specify if the parents passport has to be sent along with the application. I am applying under section 1(3). I was told by a friend that if they don't specify sending my passport and biometric card that i shoild not do so as his got lost by the HO during similar application. Thanks for your post anyway.

If you have ILR on a BRP then you dont need to send the passport - simply send the BRP. I would also suggest using NCS because this way you wont have to send any original documents and hence no chance of anything getting lost and they can also confirm what documents you will have to send. I used NCS for my son and the lady there told that olny BRP is needed.
Hope this helps.
