Tier 2 ICT Long Term(with Previous Leave before April 2010)

Post by Tier2Employee » Fri Mar 22, 2013 9:46 pm

Hi,

I need to switch from Tier2 ICT to Tier2 General with a job offer from A-rated sponsor and having the following UK visa details -
UK Work Permit Visa - May. 2008 - May 2010 (First Entry Clearance)
UK Tier2 (ICT) Migrant - May 2010 - May 2011 (Renewal inside of the UK)
UK Tier2 (ICT) Est staff Migrant - May 2011 - Dec 2012 (Renewal inside of the UK)
UK Tier2 (ICT) Long Term - Valid Till Nov 2013 (Renewal inside of the UK)

Can you please answer below questions
1. As my first granted leave (entry clearance) was before April 2010, am I eligible to switch to Tier2 General In-country ?
2. After switching over to Tier2 General, does it reset my ILR clock ?

Thanks,
Tier 2 Employee

If you do in-country Tier 2 General switch it should not ideally reset the ILR clock. I believe you will still need a letter from your ex-employer on your absences in UK
