refund from UKBA

Post by okello » Sat Mar 23, 2013 1:23 am

Hi Guys,
Can someone explain the procedures to claim for a refund, say you submit an application for a child born in the UK with other dependants on flr(m), instead of NM1. Parent have ilr and therefore an NM1 application should have been submitted instead.
Thanks

You have made an application, so no refund due, unfortunately.

That applies even if the application was actually unnecessary in the circumstances. And course UKBA would not know that the application is unnecessary, as there is no compulsion for a MN1 application to be made.

Agree with John. UKBA is going to refund the fees. Fees you paid is in lieu of, Case Worker's time spent in considering your Case ,Administration Costs and Visa Fees.

They should refund the fees if you made an invalid application. However, that may bring bigger problems, if you are not careful.
