Tier 1 General to ILR requirements

Post by bhavinjbhatt » Sat Mar 23, 2013 12:49 pm

Hi All,

I am going to complete my 5 years under the Tier 1 General Category this December. Am struggling to find accurate details on ukba site for the below. Please help

1. when/how long before my ILR application do i need to do the life in the uk exam. and cost.

2. What kind of documentation do i need for proving my employment for 5years (bank stats for how long, payslips for how long, what docs from HMRC for Tax payments etc )

3. Is there a requirement for me not to travel a specified period of time before my current permit expires/my ILR application is due.

4.Must i have a lawyer/agent to do the application or can i do it myself.

5. Do i need to justify all the holidays i have taken outside the country in the past 5 years ? and are they deducted from the considered 5year period.

6. is there a on the day application procedure for this ? fees ?

I highly appreciate all answers

Thanking you in advance.
