Tier-2 ICT Dependent visa: Questions on switching

Hello,
Can anyone please confirm the following?

I'm on Tier-2 ICT (long term staff) visa granted in Nov-2011. Since then I'm working in UK and my wife is also working here being on dependent visa category. Is there a possibility that my wife's visa can be switched to any other working visa category, like Tier-2 general, being in UK? If she has to travel to native country - is there a cooling-off period before which an employer can sponsor for Tier-2 general visa?

Any ideas in this regard, will be helpful!

There will be no cooling-off in her case.
