Old 'Expired' Passport

Post by ramvellore » Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:53 am

Hi,

I have sent my applicaiton form for naturalisation. I have enclosed my current passport with ILR visa page with the application form. But I have forgotten to enclose my expired passport which has previous UK workpermit visa's.

Please can someone advice if I should send my old (expired) passport to be considered with my application?

Thanks

The passport is required for the residence requirement. If the new passport satisfies the resident requirement (3 or 5 years) then that is fine. Really the UKBA should have on file every time you left.

Thanks for your reply. As I said, the new passport has only the ILR stamp. The workpermit visa's are within the old passport. I am confused if I should send it or wait till they ask for that document. Just that I don't want them to reject based on non-availability of document.

What documents did you provide to show that you satisfy the residential requirements?

Thanks

I have enclosed only my current passport with ILR visa. Under the assumption, ILR prove 5yrs in the UK and from that date to 1 yr, I have more than 6yrs of residence in the UK.
