Tier 1 (G) ILR vs Unemployment Status

Post by xyz111 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:13 am

Hi,

I am going to apply for ILR this year in June and have a query.

I have always worked as employee but last year worked as self- employed for 1.5 months (limited company; paying myself least salary and max dividend) after finishing contract issued P45 immediately and sat unemployed for 1 month looking for permanent job.

When I ask for HMRC letter showing my economic activities not sure if this unemployed status will appear on it. Is that status/ situation going to cause any troubles?!

My six months’ salary will collect me enough points so I will skip previous six months when this happened. Is that Ok!

Thanks.

You score points for income rather than physical activity.
