Ireland visit by UK Tier 1 Holders

Post by pns » Tue Mar 26, 2013 1:32 pm

Hi

I am living in UK on a Tier 1 G visa with Indian passport. As per the Irish visa waiver programme, would I be eligible to enter Ireland without a visa? Please refer below for more information.

http://www.dfa.ie/uploads/documents/Con ... 202012.pdf

If no, what other benefits do I have by hloding the UK visa?

if yes, would I go to Ireland without any stamping? Thinking will anyways get it stamped at one of their ports post arrival.

If your Tier 1 G visa is valid for 180 days or more, then your are eligible to visit Ireland without the need of applying for a Visa.

Hi .

can you please point me to Irish Immigration website which supports this statement? I do see some explanation on UK Category C visas not needing an additional Irish visit visa. But I dont find anything supporting the Tier 1 G holders.

Thanks for your help.

I am not a specialist, but I think this scheme is more for tourists and business travellers with visas of 180 or less, isn't it?

Hey

I have enquired with irish embassy in london. They said as a Tier 1 G migrant you need to apply for visa. The visa fee is waived for certain nationals.
