1. Yes but you want to be back for ceremony.sunil2004_in wrote:Hello All,
I have few clarification regarding British citizenship
My self and my family members got ILR June 2012.
I understood that I am eligible to apply naturalisation/BC on June 2013 (I need to have been physically present in the UK at the beginning of the 3/5 years residence period i.e. the day the HO receives your application 3/5 years back)
So for my wife and children were lived in UK only 3 years and they are with me now.
My clarifications are,
1) Can I travel to outside UK after submitting my application? ( Lets assume I am submitting my application on June 2013 and making my travel to outside UK on the month Aug 2013)
2) Can I apply naturalisation for my children at the same time June 2013? they only lived in UK 3 years and My children and my wife got ILR status on the same time like me.
3) I understood that my wife can not eligible to apply naturalisation on June 2013 since she had completed only 3 years in UK. Is this correct?
4) Which application should I need to uese?
Please give your valuable comments and answers.
Best Regards,
Sunil.
Use the NCS and you get to keep your passports.sunil2004_in wrote:Thanks for your reply.
Do I need to submit my passport with my application ?
Do we need to submit my children's passport with their application?
because I tought of submitting my application and my children application on June 2013 and we are travelling outside UK on July2013.
Will this is possible?
Thanks,
Sunil.
You may be born in India but you're applying for British citizenship and your wife has ILR so it's discretion under section 3(1) for the children. NCS is the nationality checking service, they'll check all your forms and give you documents back and send the applications for a small fee. Contact your local council to see who offers the nationality checking service in your area.sunil2004_in wrote:Thanks,
1) What is NCS?
2) Myself and my wife both are born in India and our children also born in India in this case I could not find proper application/section n the following link

Many thanks.

I have few clarification regarding British citizenship for my family members.
I had received British Naturalisation certificate on sept 2013 also got British passport. Many thanks for members in this forum.
My family members (two children & wife) got ILR on June 2012. they are with me now in UK from May 2011 without break ( they were with me 20 months during 2007 , 2008 & 2009 time, then they had gap then they returned to UK on May 2011)
1) Can I apply naturalisation for my children now ? Both children were born in India.
2) Can I apply naturalisation for my wife now ? if yes or no where I can see the rules and requirements?
3) When my wife will get eligible to apply naturalisation and what basis?
Thanks in Advance.
