information Required regarding 10 years rule & convictio

Hi -

One of my friend has been in UK for 9 & half years, he works as a security person and he got conviction by court in 2009. Can u pls tell if he is eligible to apply for ILR after 10 years. He is currenltly on HSMP visa & has applied for HSMP extension but he maintained his funds in his business account ...

What was the conviction and sentence?
