Applying for BC in April - Looking for clarification

Post by sri1976 » Thu Mar 28, 2013 8:15 pm

Hi,

I'm planning to apply for BC in April and have a few issues. I'd like to get clarification on the same:

I'll be applying as Tier 1 + ILR basis.

As far as good character requirements are concerned, I've got few issues that I could do with some help/clarification. I moved to Glasgow recently and in doing that have missed 3 things mentioned below:

1. I've got a bus lane contravention notice and I have paid the 60£ fine. It is just the fine and no further action taken.

2. We missed council tax payment for one month - actually we paid less amount and we received a notice. Payment has been made and account is brought up to date.

3. We also missed the deadline for January income tax filing using SA for my wife and again as soon as I managed to track all the remaining payments etc., we filed the tax returns (albeit late), paid the tax along with the fine.

Are these major issues? Do I need to be worried about these?

don`t worry about this one, I had it few times, council was sending red letters to me but there was no other action. I did make payments and out app was approved.

boloney, did you declare them in the application though? I'm planning to include the bus lane contravention in the application and mention that the penalty charge has been paid. Not sure if I have to declare the others as home office do their own checks and will see that the payments have gone in.

You don't need to declare any of the above.

Thanks all for your response. Puts my mind at ease, I guess.
