Visa for my Child

Hello to all my Board Members,
I follow this forum quite regularly and hats off to you guys.

I have a strange question, I have a stepson in India,now he is 14.
Me and my Wife have got custodioan and guardianship from the Court.
But due to some reasons we have applied for the passport on single mother status.
now we want to bring him to this country on A visa but we don't know which is the best as he may return to finish his Class X in next academic year.
my and my wife have ILR and also my secons child.
we would like to apply for a Dependent visa to my son in India but he may return to India as I said for class X but he will be back once he finish his class X in India.

so what is the best thing to do for him so that he can get ILR in the future and suggest me about how we can apply for his ILR once he will be in UK.

your suggestions are much appreciated.

The visa to apply for is a Child Settlement visa.
