Thanks a lot for providing all this information to everyone and it was really helpful. As I can you are full of information so thought of clarifying my doubt also with you...I am on Work Permit from past 5 years and in UK along with my wife and kid. My wife mistakenly applied for child benefit a year ago and as soon as I realized which is just 3 days back that this is against my visa status 'No course to public fund' we straight way stopped the child benefit. We are waiting for the Case worker from HMRC to call us. As this public fund has claimed by my wife and I am the main applicant, do I need to show the cover letter to PEO without even they ask for it, or shall I keep with me and should show only when they ask for it.
I will pay back all the amounts for the benefit that was claimed to HMRC and also will take a letter from them regarding 'Zero balance' and also no objection kind of certification if they can provide.
will this letter from HMRC will suffice my problem.... or still I need to show them the cover letter.

Your help in this regard will provide me confidence and also can get my ILR success.
