6.1. SET(O) Date of Entry

Post by designer81 » Sat Mar 30, 2013 1:42 pm

Hi, my husband is just filling out his SET(O) form and we are trying to figure out which date to enter under section 6.1. It refers to the date of first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which the application is based.

He first entered the UK on the 27.04.2004 on a 4 year ancestry visa. This was extended for 5 years as 'Limited leave to remain' on 04.04.08
Does he need to enter the first date or the second date in section 6.1., anyone know? the second date isn't really a date of entry (rather a date of the visa in his passport), so this doesn't make any sense, but on the other hand, as far as we are aware, the qualifying period for ILR is for 5 years...

If it's the first date (2004), does he need to list every absence from the UK since 2004 or only in the last 5 years?

Thanks so much for your advice!

1.First date of Entry to UK 27/04/2004
2.ILR is based on 5 years qualifying period. So it has to be his absences in the last 5 years.
