Civil Partnership End - Retain Rights of Residence (Urgent)

Post by ROOSWT » Mon Apr 01, 2013 8:34 pm

Good Evening Board Members

I'm wonder if someone would be kindly to help me with these issues

I first arrived in UK in Dec 2007 Been in a Civil Partnership with an EU national from Dec 2008 until now. We still live together and we both agreed with divorce, but I need to find out few informations before go ahead with paper work.

I have been issued a visa in Jul 2009 which is valid until Jul 2014.

1)I would know which process should I go through
*Divorce, them apply to retain the rights of residence which I might be issued another 5 years stamp on my passport; or;
They will consider the time I am living in UK and automatically will issue me a ILR or I can apply direct to ILR?

It would appear that you would qualify for permanent residence in Dec 2013 if you were still in a civil partnership by that date.
