PEO Rescheduling appointment

Just wondering - if I click Reschedule appointment - is my current one automatically cancelled? Or only after I find some other suitable time.

The page says

If you choose to reschedule:

we will ask you to choose a new date, time and location;
we will automatically cancel your current appointment; and
you will not need to pay another fee.

Given how hard it was to find an appointment, I don't want to even 'search' for a new time/date/location if it automatically means losing my current one --- because I may not find another.

My experience is that if you can not get a new appointment, the old one will not be cancelled.
