Tier 1 dependant applying for EC seperate to the main applic

Hi,

As per the policy guidance if a Tier 1 (G) is living in the UK for more than 6 months,

his/her dependant need only to show £600 for 90days for EC.

if the dependant is applying seperately , can the main applicant show that money

instead of the dependant showing the funds?

in other words,does the funds need to be in the dependant name or can it be

in the name of main applicant ? (hope both foreign and UK statements can be used)

please advice.
