Tricky case - Change of employment and ILR eligibility

Hi everyone

I am a holder of Tier 2 visa and have always worked for the same company.
I am looking to change employers and therefore have a question regarding ILR eligibility, mainly periods when I am unemployed.

The tricky thing in my case is that I have a non-compete clause in my contract which forbids me from working for any other company (competitors) for 3 months after I quit.

I have been trying to find a way around this but at the moment it looks like I am stuck with the following timeline:

01/05: Apply and get new visa with new employer(PEO) (start date 01/08 ) - Give notice to current emloyer(1 month)

01/06: Notice ends - Current visa curtailed to 60 days.

01/08: Start date with new employer.

My question is that since between 01/06 and 01/08 I will be unemployed,will that have any implact on the 5 year continous residency for ILR?

Also does my timeline seem reasonable? Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi there
Shouldnt ve any impact if u apply once u give notice then u should be alright so u ve to time it right make sure ur cos start date is 01/08
