Tier 2 Extension Question

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I'm currently in the UK under Tier 2 (General) - visa expires on 6 June 2013 - and want to extend my stay in the same category. I want to make absolutely sure I'm using the correct form - should I use the Tier 2 application form or the T2(W) form?

About me - I came here for university in 2004 and had a student visa for 4 years. I then obtained a post-study work (PSW) visa and in 2010 I was granted my Tier 2 General visa, which I now want to extend. On the UKBA website, it says the T2(W) form is for those who have previously had permission to stay for less than 2 years as a Business and Commercial work permit holder, which as far as I know is not me...

My other question is about CoS- Do I need new COS from my employer or can I use th old one - considering I am working for the same employer for the same salary and same job title.

Last question - What Supporting documents do I need to submit with application. I'll be applying for me wife and son along my application.

You will need a new CoS. Check with your employer that they have a 2013/14 allocation of CoSs

The current form to use for your application is:

but check that by the time you apply there is no new issue of this form.

check the application form for what documents are required.
