Transferring from a Tier 5 YMS visa to a sponsored Tier 2

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to transfer from a Tier 5 YMS visa to a sponsored Tier 2 working visa? Im from Australia and have been employed with a company willing to sponsor me, my Tier 5 visa is up in 3 months.

All the information Ive found says that I have to return to Australia to apply for the Tier 2. Is there any way around this? Can I apply from somewhere outside of the Uk like europe without having to go all the way home?

You can't switch inside the UK. You can apply for any country where you have nationality or a valid residence permit.
