ILR - SET (O) - Other Purposes

Post by sparklinggirl27 » Thu Apr 04, 2013 4:06 pm

Hi All

I am very new to this thing and I hope that you can kindly help me.

I'm going to apply for ILR in June 13 based on being a mother of British citizen. Cut long story short, marriage wasn't working and I was granted Limited Leave to Remain (based on my daughter) from 2007 therefore I have been living here with my daughter for 6 years.

I have confirmed with Home Office that they are 100% sure I am eligible to apply ILR as I told them the 'new' rule is now 10 years instead of 6!

The questions that I have in mind:
1. What sort of information that they would like me to put down on my covering letter
2. What other documents that they would like to see, apart from the obvious such as pay slips, proof of address, my daughter's passport & birth certificate.
3. How far back do they want me to provide the documents? (6months; 1 year)

I am very confused and feeling rather scared as this is rather delicate case. If any of you have been in my position please advise me. Or in fact any advise/reply will be very much appreciated.

I hope I will hear from you..

Many thanks
