Out of My Mind!

Post by StellaCott » Thu Apr 04, 2013 9:01 pm

4-5 years ago, the police stuck a parking ticket on the car which I lost (car in hubby's name). We moved at the time and so letters went to old address. Anyhow, eventually a letter came through (husband was away) demanding payment along with debt collector fee which I did immediately.

He's got a council appointment next week to apply for citizenship. Everything else is good, as far as I'm aware - married to me, good job, good financial standing, records for everything.

The thing is, I can't find any details of this to see if it's a parking ticket 'issued by the court' and thus something he needs to declare.

I've run a Trust online search and phoned the local magistrates court (the council advised me it would have probably gone through them). I explained to them what I was looking for and they also ran a check on all the magistrates courts in the area and yielded no records.

I feel sick as I would be devastated for his application to fail for my mistake.

Not relevant as even if it were a court fine and classed as a non custodial sentence as it has been over 3 years it would not affect the application. It's not a conviction, don't worry.
