Tier 2 Dep work rules

Post by dh_madhu » Fri Apr 05, 2013 12:13 pm

Hi I am on tier 2 dep visa.
But when i apply for jobs, they ask me my visa status and when i say am a tier2 dep they say they do not want tier 2 guys. This happens mainly in the banking sectors.
What should I do to convince them that am eligible to work anywhere in the UK (if am right!)
Please advice.

Thanks
Madhu

You have the right to work, except as a doctor in training.

Hi Vinny
Thanks for your reply.
The job consultants say that their client's HR rules don't encourage/permit to employ tier 2 dep guys.
Now, who can dispute this claim against top banks like HSBC and LLOYDS?
Do I have a choice at all?
Can i bring this to the notice of the home office or does the bank have the right to say NO to guys like me??

Thanks
Madhu
