Delay in Surrender certificate

Hi all
I have handed my families Indian passports at VFS Glasgow Office on 06/03/2013 for surrender.
After I have applied we have received couple of text messages-
First one on 07/03/2013 stating our applications have been dispatched to the high commission of India for processing.

Second one on 09/03/2013 stating our applications are under process at the High commission of India.

I have contacted VFS via e-mail and they informed that they can't comment any thing about progress as they forwarded it to High Commission of India.

After 9th of march 2013 till to date we haven't received any further correspondence. We have been advised that it can take upto 3 weeks
for surrender certificate and cancelled Indian passports to arrive. It has been four weeks now and we haven't received any document so far.

Does anyone know where and whom to contact?

I have received my surrender certificate after 6 weeks from application date from Birmingham vfs .

I think , my passport was misplaced some where that's why it took long time .

I think , you wait for another 2 weeks .

If still have not received , then send enquiry email about Surrender passport in CGI birmingham website . This enquiry will automatically sends to VFS birmingham .

If they are in good mood , then only they will respond. Other wise we need to wait .
