Tier_2 General

Hi,
I hold Tier 2 General Work Visa, I am planning to change my visa from Tier 2 General to Tier 2 General Dependent , When we go for Settlement , will this count or it will be a fresh start.

For Tier 2 Dependent , is their any restrictions on work. Please let me know.
