Early Second extension - Tier 1 visa

Post by Alien1978 » Mon Apr 08, 2013 7:59 pm

Initial Tier 1 grant date: 27 Jan 2009 (For 3 years)
First Extension from: 27 Jan 2012 (For 2 years till 27 Jan 2014)

Since, I entered UK only in Feb 2010 (after 1 year approx.), I will have to apply for second extension to cover the 5 year period for ILR.

Can I apply for my second extension in May (10 months in advance) as this will give me my Tier 1 visa till May 2015 and I only need till Feb 2015 to be eligible for ILR.

Our baby was born in UK in Dec 2012 and we are planning to travel back to India in September 2013. So, the option is either to apply for baby's visa now and then again apply for extension together in Jan 2014. This will cost us additional GBP 1545 or we advance the extension application for entire family by 10 months.

For how long would the second extension be granted (2 yrs or 1 yr)?

Thanks

The second extension will be for 2 Yrs.
If you need to travel to India in Sep this year, then you must get the new born a visa to come back to UK anyway, and I rekon you get that here before you leave in Sep.

Get everyone a visa now: You 1545 + each dependant * 1159 ... this will take you all to May 2015. So will let you go to Indian & come back AND also make you eligible for ILR.
