Long stay outside UK on ILR

Post by ric1982 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 8:08 am

Background.

Me British Citizen
Wife : Indian C. on ILR (in total 3 months of absent from uk in last 4 years, currently pregnant with second child)
Children : 1 BC

Scenario
My wife is currently due with our second child. We are planning for her to go to India for 6-7 months after her delivery so that she can spend sometime with her family in India. (and have some quality time)

Question
My question is on her return will she face any problem from the immigration? if so than what they could be?
If she do face issues on her return then how long she can is ok to stay outside uk for her?

Thanks

Thanks Vinny
I understand , these are guidelines. and its for two years or over. What I heard (prob. on this forum) is that if you stay our for more then three / six months , then you are in trouble is it true?

Does anyone has any practicel knowledge/experience about this?

Thanks
