Tier 2 General App - submitted already but need urgent help!

Post by maylmi12 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 11:19 am

I applied for my tier 2 general application a week ago.
We realised that my employer used the wrong SOC code on the certificate.

Is it best to withdraw the application and reapply now? (It is more likely that my application will be rejected.. I am not too sure if it is worth waiting months to hear back from them.) I have read on this forum that many applicants have been rejected due to the wrong soc code used for the certificate of sponsorship.

If you withdraw and application, can you re-apply immediately?
Also because we are an micro organisation, our company only had one allocation spot to create a certificate of sponsorship so currently we have non left as we used it for myself. We have requested for another allocation but have not heard back yet and I am a little bit worried..

Please advise me on what to do next.

Hi,

you could email UKBA them and explain ur situation. or phone them up and seek some advice on what can be done

Also, if u get a new CoS, send them immediately with a letter from your employer stating that you made a mistake but this was noticed after u sent ur application and request them to consider the new CoS.
Cheers!!

Thank you for your reply.

I just phoned up UKBA and they suggested that we write a letter saying we made a mistake in the cos code, and if we could amend it.

I hope this will work because we only just sent off the application, it probably hasn't even been reviewed by the case workers yet.
