Dependant Visa

Post by Madhan8 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 12:57 pm

Hi All,
Currently I hold a Tier 2 (ICT - Long Term Staff) visa valid until July 2013 and will be applying my extension in the beginning of June. I am getting married on 23 May 2013 and wish to bring my wife (from India) here at the earliest as it might take couple of months delay to process my extension and get her dependent VISA.

My questions are

1. Would I be able to process her dependant VISA with my current VISA validity (July 2013)? We will be getting our marriage certificate and documents required for applying VISA by end of May.

2. Can both (tier 2 extension and tier 2 dependant) applications be processed together from UK when I extend my VISA in June? Note: Dependant is not in the UK.

3. Is that possible to bring her here in Tourist VISA (Family VISA category) for now and get that changed to dependent after I get my extension ?

4. She will be applying tourist VISA before our marriage for the reason we have to travel on 1 June. By the time she travels she would have got married, will that be a concern?

5. If switching from tourist to dependent is not possible and if she is here in tourist VISA, can she travel back to India and cancel her tourist VISA and raise a dependent VISA and join me ? Will this be a problem for in immigration.
