cohab docs list

Post by salman83 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 2:47 pm

Hi,
I am applying for ILR along with my wife as dependant. What cohabition docs are needed.

I am submitting the following docs on which we have joint names: -

- last year's council tax bill.
- Last bank statement
- Marriage certificate.
- Last year tenancy agreement.

Are they enough?

Also, do I have to prove the following docs for atleast 2 years or 1 year is enough.

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply.

I can put one more additional thing in the list i.e. electoral voting card.

I do not understand from the link about my second question. How much years of documentation they require.

Thanks for the reply.

My wife is living with me for last three years.

The only proof I have right now for two years is
- Tenancy Agreement
- Marriage certificate
- Council Tax bill.

Other than that I do not have any other proof which could date back to last 2 years.

Hi Kevin,

I have those documents but they are not fully 2 years. They are just one and half years only.

Because the CW will want to see 6 documents(from different sources) ,addressed to both over a period of 2 years. It's CW's discretion to accept or not. When is your ILR due?

is there any letters addressed to you individually/both over 2 years. Look at SET ( M) from, see what they are asking as document, for proof.. If not look in the Forum, whether you could pick out any documents.

Regards,
You don't need each documents covering full 2 years.
You can spread and choose your 6 specific months over the last 2 years.
One doc (on both names) or two docs (one on each of your name) for a month.

Just make sure that one source (for example barclays bank) do not repeat for more than 2 times.
Goodluck.
