Does anybody know how long it takes for return of documents?

Post by Jrat19 » Thu Apr 11, 2013 12:21 pm

I need to withdraw my application which I submitted last week as I managed to book an in person appointment for late May.

Does anybody know how long it will take for me to receive the documents once I submit the 'Return of Documents' form for Tier 2 and Tier 5 applications?

On this page (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... documents/) it states:

If you request for your passport to be returned, delivery will take 20 working days from the date of your request.

but this page (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... -documents) states:

'If you submit the request before 12 noon, we will aim to withdraw your application and return your documents on the same day.

Your documents will be returned by standard recorded delivery. If you want to arrange a courier to collect them from us, you should state this on the withdrawal form and we will contact you with a suitable time for collection.'

Anybody have any experience with this?

Cheers,

J
