Countersignature contact method?

Dear All,

today i get my corrected certificate back after 2 month and now want to apply for passport.

I want to use same signatury which i used for Naturalization but issue is,he will be travelling next week for 4 weeks.

My question is :do they contact signatury for every case?if they contact then how? as my signatory phone will be working but in case they write to confirm then i want to find someone else as i dont want to delay my application as already delayed for certification correction.
