FLR (M) - English Language Requirement

Post by ragsncl » Thu Apr 11, 2013 3:09 pm

Hi, Regarding applications for FLR(M) - For English Language Requirements, the guidance says that they dont accept MSC or PHD - (page 6) only accept Bachelor`s Degree

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... 020091.pdf

But, when you look at the actual FLR(M) form, page 31, has the following information

8.3 Do you have one of the following;
a) An academic qualification recognised by UK NARIC to be equivalent to the standard of a Bach
elor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK from one of the following countries:
Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ire
land, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad
and Tobago, the UK, the USA

This is contradicting information and is wrong.

Could you please advise, if they accept MSC we can get away with not getting any NARIC certification as our PEO date is 20th of May.

Please advise as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Could someone please advise on this? I have checked the immigration rules and it says that MSC,PHD certificates from an uk university are acceptable. Will the case worker adhere to the immigration rule or to the FLR(M) guidance sheet which I think is incorrect.
