Urgent Query regarding Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Hi All

Need assistance and urgent help on this.I had been on ICT Established Staff which was issued on 26-2-2011 for 2 years until Feb 2013.
Recently I have extended this for same sponsor for one more year until 2014.

However I have offer now with another sponsor so can you please let me help on below queries
1. Will I be able to switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 G
2. The current visa I am holding is valid until 2014 issued this year. Does this still fall under initial grant issued before Apr 2011
3. What is further procedure on this as my employer is keen to recruit but not aware of the process and this is kind of deadlock
4. Should I resign from current employer which would make the current visa invalid and do I have cool off time to apply for new visa for new employer.

Any help or advise on this will be really great.
