Britsh Citizenship for Children born abroad

Post by suvalike » Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:27 pm

Hi Guys,

I am asking this question on behalf of my Friend. He needs some clarification.

He has got ILR in Dec 2012.His wife and daughter who joined him as Tier 1 General Dependent in May 2012.

His daughter has got ILR as well in Dec 2012.His wife got the three years PBS visa.

Now He will apply for citizenship in Dec 2013.But he want to know when her daughter would be eligible to apply for British citizenship. What will be the process to apply for her.

Please guide Thx

Thanks Vinny...So it means there is no way for the child to get British citizenship except section 3(1). Even though one parent hold British citizenship and another ILR.

So what will be the chances for the baby to get nationality in the case of section 3(1)...How can they make their stand strong..

Thanks
