Family Visa or Visitor Visa?

Post by sk10aaa » Sun Apr 14, 2013 12:34 am

Hello,

I'm currently under PSW visa, working as a contractor. I would like to invite my wife and son to UK (from India) for this summer.

I would like to know:
1) which visa category should I choose to apply? Family visa or Visitor Visa?
2) since I'm staying in a shared accommodation, do I need to get any letter from my landlord?
3) do I have to book tickets (for my wife and son), before making the visa application?
4) I don't have any utility bill (except mobile bill, bank statement and tenancy agreement). In this case what are the docs, I need to produce.

Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

I applied for Visitor visa for my wife and son and UKBA has rejected the application. My PSW visa expires end of this year so I applied for a visitor visa.

Is there any rule that I can't reapply immediately? Can I apply dependant visa instead of visitor visa?

Please advice.

They may reapply immediately, if they satisfy the requirements of the immigration rules. Their categories should be consistent with their purpose.
