family visitor visa- internet bank statement be proof?

Hi, Just starting out on a uk family visitor visa for my mother in law from south africa and have a couple of questions:

1) If we are proving our finances in UK for her to come and stay with us,can we use internet bank statements as proof?

2) and can we scan and email the financial proof to her? or does it need to be couriered to South Africa?

3) Also when it asks for date of visit, does it have to be exact dates ie a purchased flight ticket or can it be approximate and buy the ticket upon granting of visa?

4) It asks for an itinery to be included in visa. If the itinary is simply to spend time playing and cuddling little grandsons for 2 weeks , can we express that for the visa or do we have to make more solid specific plans?

Yes as long as they are certified and stamped by teh bank as being true and genuine

2) and can we scan and email the financial proof to her? or does it need to be couriered to South Africa?

Yes

It can be approx around teh date you wish them to come. Dont buy ticket before visa is granted

Just state reasons they are coming for and will hopefully return after conclusion of visit
