MN1 form - need advice pls

Post by max.namestnic » Mon Apr 15, 2013 3:07 pm

Hi
Me and my wife received our PR last week, now we would like to register our 1yr old baby using form MN1. My wife is EEA national, but she was only 4yrs in UK when she had our child, so the child needs to register using the form MN1, sectin 1(3).

My questions are:

1.Do I have to fill in Section 2, 3 and 4 of the MN1 form?

2.Do I have to send my passport ( I have to travel) or is it ok just to send my wifes PR card?

3.Do I have to send the Marriage Certificate?

My child was born in UK, is just 1yr old.

Many thanks for your help.

Have you read the Children FAQ?

See the questions towards the end here - Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting - Children. The guide is also useful is answering your first question.

Hi Jambo,
Thanks for replying.

I've read the FAQs and it says that we need to send "- Marriage certificate (if child born before 2006). , so if child was born in 2012 we don't need to send our marriage Certificate?
From the Guide to MN1 form I can see that section 3 does not relate to child applying under section 1(3), also my child is under 10yrs so I need to ignore section 4.
But I can not decide if I need to fill in Section 2, as my child was born in UK and stayed at the same address?

Thanks for your help

You can skip section 2 or fill it in. It doesn't matter.

Ignore my last post :)
I just tried applying on-line and it asks to print the form and post it :)
