EU national - Spouse NON EU National - Baby

Post by ajentha82 » Mon Apr 15, 2013 3:47 pm

Hi,

Myself a Dutch national (have residence card, 5 years expired in Feb), Spouse on EU rights (been here since april 2008).
Baby will be born here - next 2 months.
Will the baby be entiltled to any child benefit (as eu nationals; are we allowed to apply for them).
Will this have any negative impact on either my husbands permit/citizenship?

Looking forward to your advise.

Thanks!

EU/EEA nationals who have the right to reside (exercising treaty rights) are qualified individuals and can claim benefits. If you have exercised treaty rights here for 5 years you are now eligible for a permanent resident/settled status card have you got this card? see http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... s/eea/eea3
