Post by brajen » Mon Apr 15, 2013 9:56 pm

Hi Senior friends,

I applied my extension on 3rd April. I have't received any acknowledgment or BRP???. Are there anyone else face same situation like this? Any reason for this??? I sent through next day delivery. I seen the online tracking system says that it has been delivered on next day.

I applied with 2 dependants on 30th March and application was delivered on 3rd April(Online tracking). I have not received acknowledgement letter yet! My mode of payment was Bankers Draft which does take time to clear. I think there is backlog as well.

Really? I would have thought that the Banker's Draft is that it is considered cleared immediately.

1 of my friends applied as a single on 30th march and has received biometric letter without any acknowledgement. According to him, UKBA has given him 15 days to get the biometrics.

I applied on tier 1 - general extension on 18th march, received acknowledgement letter on 20th march. NO BRP invitation received yet so emailed AppointmentExceptions@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and told them to resend a new biometric invitation letter since i have not received one since last 3 and half weeks. Got a reply back from them saying they will ask the relevant department to produce a new better at their earliest opportunity. They charge alot of fees but they cannot afford to send the invitation letter through recorded or even first class post, its shambles. Still waiting for the letter to arrive :/

I have applied for extension by post on 20 March; acknowledgement letter received on 25Mar. Biometrics letter was dated 25Mar but I received on 28Mar (letter was opened; hence I guess it went to the wrong address and people were kind enough to deliver it back to me. Had they not returned, UKBA would not know the reasons why I could not submit my biometrics within 15days..and I would be still awaiting for my biometrics letter..
Got my BRP on 15 Apr.
