new SOC code list from April 2013

Post by doc44 » Mon Apr 15, 2013 10:00 pm

Hi,

Confused here, need an advice. I will be applying for ILR in December 2013. My last Tier 2 extension was done in January 2012.

I was fulfilling the SOC pay rate required at that time. Now pay rate required is increased for the same code from 6th April this year. Will it affect my ILR application. I am paid 500 pounds less according to new SOC code that is released this 6th April.

Deeply appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Your Employer need to revise your salry to reflect the New salary levels from 06/04.Either it has to be equal or more than(ideally) the new SOC code salry. Trust your Job still falls under the same SOC Code.

Will your Employer increase your salary by £6,000 p.a,in these very difficult business times. Where most of the Employers are feeling the pinch.

Hi Kevin, the salary on the Code of Practice is based on 40 hours working week, if I am cotracted to work 35 hours per week is it enough for my employer to mention this on the letter or they have to pro rate it? Please would be grateful to have your advice.
