PEO Tier 1 Gen/HSMP Extension more than 28 days before expir

Has anyone applied in person at a PEO to extend their Tier 1 General / HSMP more than 28 days before their visa expired? Were there any questions or issues raised about applying earlier?

I am considering applying for an extension more than 6 months before my current visa expires and want to know if this is likely to cause issues or for my application to be deferred for processing later.

Should not be an issue with the extension. Please note that your extension would start from your approval date so depending on your circumstances you will probably require another extension before applying for ILR.

Thanks Jambo, yes I understand the extension would be from the approval date (not expiry date).

Any other experiences, especially from anyone who has been in that situation, would be welcome.
