No, providing you don't have a CCJ. Make sure you've arranged a repayment even if it's just £1 pcm token payment as you don't want a CCJ.warren899 wrote:Hi just applied for naturalisation,i have a £200 quid debt phone bil will this affect my application? Thanks [/list]
Not necessarily the creditor will sell on the debt. Search http://www.trustonline.org.uk/ to see if you have a CCJ. How old is the debt/when did you make the last payment?warren899 wrote:Oh dear,i received a letter from a 3rd party collection company, does that mean its a ccj?
Send them (3rd party) a financial statement (see http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/) and start making repayments even if just £1 per month. Search for the CCJ, if non registered you're fine. I assume you have no other debts in default?warren899 wrote:the debt is from december 2012 when i made the last payment
Well then take action and get paying it.warren899 wrote:its the only debt ive ever had and its stressing me knowing it cud affect my application
No it's an empty threat they will not visit your home. Do as I have instructed.warren899 wrote:oh and the other thing ,the letter doesnt site a ccj but says a doorstep collection agency will be instructed to visit my home address, does that mean ,its gone way past a ccj and now a very serious matter
