Question related to Form AN (Good Character Requirement)

Post by fm_181 » Sun Apr 21, 2013 12:02 am

Hi,
I will be eligible to apply for naturalisation in July, 2013. Since I immigrated to UK I'm doing a permanent job. However I'm planning to move to contracting role starting from June 2013 (By opening a limited company and becoming its director).

In section 3 of form AN (Good Character Requirement) what should i write under

3.2: Are you 1) An Employee 2) A business Partner 3) Self Employed 4) A director?

<fm_181> Surely i need to tick "An Employee". But do I need to tick "A director" as well considering that i will be director hardly for less than two months before submitting application? Can we tick two options?

3.3: Name of employer or business

<fm_181> Surely i need to write the name of employer. Do I need to write the name of my company as well considering that the company has been opened less than two months before submitting the application?

3.4: Address of employer or business

<fm_181> Surely i need to write the address of employer. Do i need to write the address of my company as well considering that the company has been opened less than two months before submitting the application?

3.5: Address of tax office or tax office reference

<fm_181> Surely i need to write the address of tax office mentioned on my P60 (where my PAYE contributions are deposited). Do I need to provide the details corresponding to my limited company as well considering that the company has been opened less than two months before submitting the application?

As my limited company will exist only for less than two months before submitting the application, most of the taxes (VAT, corporation tax) etc etc will not be due yet. In this case is this a good idea to mention company details in form?

Should i mention details corresponding to my limited company on page 13 of form (Further information not covered in other sections)?

Many thanks for your replies in advance.

Put all the information regarding the employment in section 3 and then just add the information about the director in extra information and that should relinquish your worry.
